THE bike school for children of all ages.

In the Kids Bike League we show the kids the fascination of mountain biking in a playful way. Year after year, the kids' skills are trained and improved. Soon the kids can accompany their parents on one or the other bike tour.


The bike school will be offered again during the summer and fall vacations 2022.

Prerequisite Children need little bike experience for the first level: in order to participate in the , they must be able to ride a running bike or a bike with pedals on flat ground without falling.

Criteria

In the first level, children are acclimated to the bike. They learn to get on and off the bike in a simple railing (grass), as well as to ride and brake in a controlled manner without falling. In addition, the handling of the steering is also learned and the child masters the first obstacles independently. The lessons are playful and include various group exercises. 

Costs

CHF 35.- per day | CHF 140.- for the weekly ticket (Mon-Fri)

Prerequisite The children must be able to ride an ordinary bike with pedals.

Criteria

In the second level, the children apply the technique they have learned in easy terrain to challenging terrain. The obstacles to be overcome are higher and so are the demands on balance and coordination. They learn to ride a given distance one-handed and controlled, and to pedal while standing. In addition, you will learn how to shift gears on the bike and how to ride simple waves and hollows.

Goal: I can already accompany mom and dad on their bike tours.

Conditions

Children need riding skills on easy trails and must already have experience riding over obstacles.

Criteria

Children in the third level are already very proficient on their bike and are now building on their skills. They learn to master medium steep trails with ease, practice jumps, drops and learn challenging balance exercises. They master steep turns and know how to control their speed accordingly. At the end of this level the kids will be able to control their bike on medium difficult trails.

Steinbock Pro Trail

Goal: In the "Trail" course, the focus is on riding technique of the different trails.

Prerequisites

Children have already completed the Kids Bike League or are advanced bikers from the age of 10.

Criteria

Kids in the PRO level are already very proficient on their bikes and are now building on the skills they learned in the Kids Bike League. They learn to master steep turns, root and stone passages, drops and many other features for advanced kids.

CHF 60.- per day | CHF 250.- for the weekly ticket (Mon-Fri)

Focus of the training

  • Balance exercises, like balancing. You can never have too much balance on the bike.
  • Unload front wheel-lift, ride over obstacles, up-down
  • Relieving the rear wheel, moving the rear wheel in tight corners
  • Perfecting cornering technique, large radii-small radii
  • Bunny hop with e-bike - not an easy thing to do, only technique counts, jumping over obstacles with bunny hop
  • Small drop with progression to big drop
  • General jumping technique, theory and practice
  • Determining the ideal line in the terrain and putting it into practice, relaxed and energy-saving riding on descents.
  • Tour with application of what has been learned, riding of different sections and analysis of the respective riding style, corrections by the guide
  • Final tour with great riding fun and individual feedback by the guide to each participant
