Thanks to the connection between the MGB railway station in Fürgangen and the village of Mühlebach, there are now far more opportunities for hikers and bikers.
The "Goms Bridge", built and opened in summer 2015, connects the two hiking areas of Bellwald and Ernen as well as the Rottenweg and the Gommer Höhenweg. At the same time, it provides Bellwald with a connection to the cantonal Gletsch-Lake Geneva cycle path and an all year-round connection to the Binntal Nature Park.
The bridge which is 280-metres long and 1.40-metres wide is open all year round for hikers, wheelchair users and bicycles.
For those who only want to pay a short visit to Goms Bridge, parking spaces are available in Fürgangen. We would ask everyone to use the underpass for crossing the road.
If you're feeling hungry and want to digest your impressions while enjoying a drink and a snack, there are refreshment stops on both sides of the Goms Bridge.
