A fairytale running and hiking route through the centuries-old mountain villages of Valais, past the magnificent Aletsch Glacier and over two suspension bridges spanning the valley. The route of a total of 65 kilometers with 3,150 meters in altitude is designed in such a way that it can be completed as a varied trail run in one day or as a hiking adventure with two or three daily stages. The season lasts from July 1st to October 23rd, 2022.
A challenging ascent leads from the more than 600-year-old Gommerdorf Bellwald up to the crystal-clear Märjelensee on the eastern edge of the Aletsch Glacier. The highlight of the Stoneman Glaciara Hike is undoubtedly the tightrope walk from this impressive backdrop. The ridge leads from the impressive vantage point of the Eggishorn to the Bettmerhorn.
One of the absolute highlights is crossing the two monumental suspension bridges at a height of more than 100 meters. The breathtaking natural spectacle is rounded off by the mysticism of the centuries-old Valais mountain villages in Goms.
