An easy e-bike route with many highlights. The Binntal is rich in treasures and always worth a trip.

The start is at the sports and recreation facilities. From there, follow the Stoneman route downhill to Eggen. At Eggen, continue on the road to Fürgangen. After Fürgangen station, use the underpass on the right to the suspension bridge. On the "Goms Bridge" suspension bridge, the e-bike must be pushed. After the suspension bridge, continue briefly on the hiking trail until you reach the road again at Café Hängebrigga. Continue on the road up to the Twingischlucht (before Binn). At the Binntal tunnel, turn right onto the old Binntal road. Now you pass through the Twingischlucht: "The deeply incised gorge was formerly a difficult section of the trade route over the Albrun Pass to Italy. Today, the old path with small natural stone tunnels and rare plants offers a spectacular landscape experience." Then continue on the road to the village of Binn. The route continues on the road to Feld. Then tarmac and forest roads alternate. Before Freichi, turn left. Now comes a climb of about 20 minutes. Then take the first forest road on the right. From now on, it goes down to Steihitta and then back to Freichi. From Freichi, take the same way back to Bellwald.

Safety guidelines

Use of bike and bicycle paths is at your own risk. Bellwald Tourism rejects all liability and assumes no responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the information on this website.

Carry a bike map with you or download the complete description of the bike route with a large-scale map. During your tour, it is advisable to use only marked paths and roads. Respect Swiss road traffic rules and observe all signposts and instructions — for your own safety, to protect the landscape, and out of respect for wildlife. Behave considerately toward other path users. Take your waste and others’ waste with you.

Weather conditions can change very quickly and without warning in the mountains. Appropriate clothing and sufficient provisions (food and drink) are very important. In unsettled weather, it is better to turn back early.

Carry additional sun protection. UV rays at high altitudes can be very strong, even on overcast days.

Plan your route carefully and thoroughly. Inform yourself beforehand about current conditions and weather.
