Valais Panorama Bike (VPB) - stage 3
The day begins with a tour of the village of Bellwald, with wooden facades tanned by the sun of old granaries and residential houses. If necessary, make a technical stop at the local bikeshop. You then need to take the chairlift to about 2100 meters altitude in the Bellwald bikepark, where fun routes and natural singletrails await you. Since today's stage is rather short, you have time for a second descent starting from Flesche or Bidmere at 2562 meters altitude. After the adrenaline of the bikepark and the midday break on a sunny terrace in Bellwald, follow a singletrail on the southwest slope and a forest ridge to Fürgangen. Cross the suspension bridge in the opposite direction of the previous day and follow the Rhone road no. 1 up to the height of the old Roman bridge. Turn onto the historic Wagenstrasse to cross the Twingi gorge. Temporary art exhibitions line this section leading you to the wild and romantic village of Binn, your destination of the day.

The stage starts at the lower station of the Richinen chairlift and leads you to the "Into the wild" trail in the Bellwald bikepark. Follow it and, just before reaching the lower station, turn right towards Ried. Cross the hamlet and turn right at point 1549 onto a singletrail leading to Egga, a hamlet that you cross heading south on the singletrail. At the St.Anna chapel, turn right onto the Fürganerweg. After about 1.2 kilometers, rejoin the main road and pass through the Fürgangen station to the suspension bridge. Cross Mühlebach and Ernen and follow the main road to Lätzes Üsserbi. There, turn right onto a rural path that turns into a singletrail. After a few meters on the main road, turn right before the Binntal tunnel towards the Twingi gorge. The old dirt path towards Binn winds up the valley until the reservoir lake is in sight. From there, briefly take the main road to your destination of the day, Binn.

From Zurich: take highway A4 or A3 to Flüelen, then A2 to Göschenen; use the Furka base tunnel and continue towards Bellwald.
From Bern: take highway A6 to Spiez and continue towards Kandersteg; use the Kandersteg-Goppenstein car shuttle and continue towards Bellwald.
From Geneva: take highway A1 to Lausanne, then continue on A9 towards Brig, then Bellwald.
From Milan: take highway A8/A26 towards Simplon; use the Iselle-Brig car shuttle and continue towards Bellwald.
Follow the parking signs in Bellwald. For this stage of the Valais Panorama Bike (VPB), we recommend parking your vehicle in Fiesch and reaching Bellwald by public transport. Remember to reserve your mountain bike spot on cff.ch.
