Hängebrücke Goms Bridge
Built and opened in the summer of 2015, the Goms Bridge connects the hiking areas of Bellwald and Ernen, as well as the Rotten Trail and the Goms High Trail. At the same time, it provides Bellwald with access to the cantonal Glacier–Lake Geneva cycle route and a year-round connection to the Binntal Nature Park.
The bridge is 280 metres long and 1.40 metres wide and is open all year round to hikers, wheelchair users and cyclists.
For those who simply wish to visit the Goms Bridge, parking is available in Fürgangen. When crossing the road, we kindly ask everyone to use the pedestrian underpass.
The suspension bridge offers a number of advantages for both visitors and locals:
- Connection between the hiking areas of Bellwald and Ernen
- Access to the Rotten Trail and the Goms High Trail
- Connection to the cantonal Glacier–Lake Geneva cycle route
- Year-round connection to the Binntal Nature Park
- Access to public transport in Ernen-Mühlebach
- Pedestrian underpass beneath the cantonal road
If you would like to enjoy a meal or simply relax with drinks and snacks after taking in the views, you will find places to eat and drink on both sides of the Goms Bridge.
