Ried is one of the most beautiful hamlets in the village of Bellwald. Admire the floral splendor of the lovingly decorated houses there or the restored chapel. Those who dare the detour towards the white cross are also rewarded with a breathtaking view over the Fieschertal.Â

Directions
The hike starts at Holzer Sport in Gassen, Bellwald and initially leads towards the village and from there continues to the hamlet of Ried. Once there, you can either hike back towards Gassen or take a detour to the white cross. Just follow the path and later the road. Always keep to the right here.Â

From Sion/Sitten: After leaving the highway in Sierre, stay on the cantonal road until Naters. Then pass through Mörel, Unterdeisch, Lax, and Fiesch. After 6 km, turn left towards Fürgangen. Pass through Fürgangen and follow the road to Bellwald.
From Bern: Take the highway towards Kandersteg: exit 19 Spiez/Faulensee. Follow the signs to the car shuttle Kandersteg. After the car shuttle, drive to Gampel/Steg. At the roundabout, turn right towards Visp/Brig/Naters. Then pass through Naters, Mörel, Unterdeisch, Lax, and Fiesch. After 6 km, turn left to Fürgangen. Pass through Fürgangen and follow the road to Bellwald.
From Zurich: Highway towards Gotthard. Then take the exit to Furka Pass. You can either cross the Furka Pass (only in summer months) or take the car train in Realp. You will arrive in Oberwald. Continue until you pass through the Mühlebach gallery. Then turn right towards Fürgangen. Pass through Fürgangen and follow the road to Bellwald.
Bellwald has two large parking lots.Â
The Basper parking lot is located at the bottom of the village. This parking lot is free of charge.Â
The second parking lot is near the valley station of the cable car. There are two large parking areas here, both of which charge a fee.Â
From Zurich, Bern, Basel, Geneva or Lausanne take the SBB via Visp to Brig. In Brig, change to the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway and travel with it to the Fürgangen-Bellwald stop. There you change to the Fürgangen cable car, which takes you directly to the village center. From the village center, a short uphill walk awaits you. Simply follow the signs towards the sports field. This way you will reach Holzer Sport within 10 minutes.Â

Safety guidelines
The wheelchair drives at hiking speed up to a maximum of 6 km/h. It can be adjusted to the respective size of the users. The drivers can steer the Multidrive city tour Dual Hike - Stage 2 / 3 themselves or the accompanying persons, parents can take over. Use of the JST Mountain Drive is at your own risk.
