For adventurous mountain bikers seeking breathtaking views and boundless freedom in nature, the "Lord of the Rims" Enduro Trail is an absolute must!

The Enduro Trail is aimed at ambitious mountain bikers seeking technical challenges. As part of the 2024 UCI Enduro World Cup, this trail not only offers spectacular views but also pristine and rugged alpine landscapes. Smooth and fast sections alternate with technically demanding rock and boulder passages. Through skillful and creative integration of natural elements like rocks and stones, the "Lord of the Rims" Trail offers space for various riding interpretations, such as jump and gap options, inside and outside lines, as well as high and low lines—in short, a wide range of riding fun!

Getting there

From Sion:

After leaving the motorway at Sierre, continue on the cantonal road to Naters. Then pass through Mörel, Unterdeisch, Lax and Fiesch. After 6 km, turn left to Fürgangen. Pass through Fürgangen and follow the road to Bellwald.

From Bern:

Take the motorway towards Kandersteg: exit 19 Spiez/Faulensee. Follow the signs to the Kandersteg car shuttle. After the car shuttle, drive to Gampel/Steg. At the roundabout, turn right towards Visp/Brig/Naters. Then pass through Naters, Mörel, Unterdeisch, Lax and Fiesch. After 6 km, turn left to Fürgangen. Pass through Fürgangen and follow the road to Bellwald.

From Zurich:

Motorway towards Gotthard. Then take the exit to Furka Pass. You can either cross the Furka Pass (only in summer months) or take the car train in Realp. You arrive in Oberwald. Continue until you pass through the Mühlebach gallery. Then turn right towards Fürgangen. Pass through Fürgangen and follow the road to Bellwald.

Parking

All parking lots in Bellwald are paid, except for the Basper parking lot near the mountain station of the Fürgangen-Bellwald aerial cableway, which is free of charge. The Basper parking lot is located in the lower part of the village. Another parking lot is located very close to the valley station of the cable car. Here there are two large parking areas available, both of which require payment.

Public transportation

From Zurich, Bern, Basel, Geneva or Lausanne by SBB via Visp to Brig. In Brig, transfer to the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway and take it to the Fürgangen-Bellwald stop. From there, change to the Fürgangen aerial cableway which takes you directly to the village center. From the village center, a short uphill walk awaits you. Just follow the signs towards the sports field. This will take you to Holzer Sport within 10 minutes. Please note that the Fürgangen aerial cableway undergoes maintenance during the off-season.

If you want to send luggage to Bellwald, this is done to the mountain station of the Fürgangen-Bellwald aerial cableway! The transport fee of CHF 2.-, which was due for transport from the valley station to the mountain station, is waived. You only need to show the receipt at the mountain station and will receive your luggage from the colleagues on-site.
